Amazing Racing in Seattle.

Preparing to film the Amazing Racers on the top of the Space Needle.

This summer I had an opportunity to work with the globe-trotting producers of “The Amazing Race.” The show is remarkably in it’s 36th season on CBS. The season finale had the racers arrive in Seattle, which gave us a chance to feature many of the city’s iconic locations. We worked with the Space Needle to put the racers out on the roof, and with Kenmore Air for a sequence that involved both seaplanes and a couple of hundred kayaks. It was also fun to film one of the stops at the Showbox, where Seattle’s music history was the focus. Working with the show was a fascinating experience, involving close to two months of planning for what ended up to be about a six-hour shoot.
